The first exhibition of Laurie’s paintings in New York, Laurie Anderson: Boat is due to open Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 126 Leroy St in New York. On display will be a number of Laurie’s works that bring the presence of the theater to the canvas. The show will also include a three-dimensional holographic reality entitled From the Air, as well as a series of drawings entitled Lolabelle in the Bardo depicting the 49 days between lives in The Tibetan Book of the Dead.
